Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

FAQs

Commemorative silver dishes featuring inset coins were frequently produced in the UK to mark royal events, jubilees, and coronations, combining utility with national heritage.

These items are typically struck or spun from British sterling silver (925 standard), often incorporating a genuine legal tender coin set centrally into the base by silversmiths.

Authentic pieces bear official British hallmarks stamped into the metal, usually including a makers mark, the lion passant for sterling silver, a town mark such as the leopards head for London, and a date letter.

This piece can be styled as a functional accessory on a desk or console table, serving as a sophisticated catch-all for small everyday items while adding metallic reflectivity to a room.

Silver should be cleaned periodically with a dedicated non-abrasive silver polish to remove tarnish, and stored in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and humidity.
