Pair of French Glazed Oak Bookcases or Display Cabinets

1900 - 1920
Description

This beautiful quality pair of French oak glazed bookcases from the turn of the 20th century have loose marble tops and an Arts and Crafts look to them, with shaped roundel reliefs at the door tops and carved decoration with relief shapes along the bottom. The glass in the arched door panels is bevelled and the two shelves in each cabinet are fully adjustable on saw tooth supports. They will make a lovely addition to any room, either for books or as display cabinets for a collection of objects.

Dating to circa 1900, these are made of oak and marble, and originate from France.

In good age related condition, there are no chips on the marble, the key is available and the locks are in working order.
