A French 18 karat (18K) yellow gold charm pendant designed as an oval medal depicting the Madonna and Child, signed E. Dropsy. The reverse depicts a spray of roses and lily of the valley and the phrase ''Mater Dei'' (Mother of God) and is engraved with the initials MG and the date ''1 Mars 1909''. Stamped with the eagle''s head mark for 18 karat gold and French manufacture and a partial maker''s mark.
