Vintage Kordes & Lichtenfels Blue Paste Earrings

Something blue perhaps? Lovely baby-blue stone earrings by Kordes & Lichenfels - a jewellery company founded in Germany in 1884 and best known in the 20th century for its high-quality costume jewellery. “K&L” was registered as a trademark in 1963 and ceased trading in 2004. The AMERIKANER stamp on an item indicates it is gold filled with a special gold plating, which is thicker and more durable than standard gold-plated pieces.

• Condition: The earrings are in excellent vintage condition.

• Fixing: Lever backs.

• Hallmarks/stamps: Each earring is stamped AMERIK K&L.

• Size: 1.5cm drop from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the earring. The blue stones measure approximately 4mm diameter.

• Weight: 1.9g.
