Here is a really lovely example of a Victorian extending or telescopic library lamp in solid brass. Standing on three clawed Lions feet, the lamp is 50cm tall at it''s shortest height, and 74cm when fully extended and - and of course anything in between. Its really unusual to be extendable as a table lamp ( rather than a floor or standard lamp ), and this makes it very versatile.I have had the lamp professionally rewired by an Antique lighting specialist and offer it for sale with the lamp shade ( although I understand that a green and white striped shade might not be to everyone''s taste!). This is just a modern shade that I bought to take the photographs, so it comes free of charge if you want it!I have left the lamp unpolished so that you may decide how you would like it to be presented - but as it''s solid brass, it would polish up a treat if that''s the look you''re after.Please do not hesitate to let me know if I can provide any further information or photographs....
