Here is a really lovely example of a Victorian extending or telescopic library lamp in solid brass.

Standing on three clawed Lions feet, the lamp is 50cm tall at it's shortest height, and 74cm when fully extended and - and of course anything in between. Its really unusual to be extendable as a table lamp ( rather than a floor or standard lamp ), and this makes it very versatile.

I have had the lamp professionally rewired by an Antique lighting specialist and offer it for sale with the lamp shade ( although I understand that a green and white striped shade might not be to everyone's taste!). This is just a modern shade that I bought to take the photographs, so it comes free of charge if you want it!

I have left the lamp unpolished so that you may decide how you would like it to be presented - but as it's solid brass, it would polish up a treat if that's the look you're after.
