Circa 1860. A mid Victorian mahogany breakfront open bookcase. The stylish and moulded cavetto cornice, with flame mahogany in the frieze, the top with three open sections, each with three polished and adjustable shelves, the polished flat section with a simple for- edge with three drawers in the frieze. The base with four cupboards each with flame mahogany panels, flanked by carved corbels. Inside each cupboard is a single shelf, all resting on an enclosed mahogany plinth. The bookcase is original throughout.
