A stunning antique French writing table, also known as an escritoire. This dates from around the 1930’s.

It is has a very beautiful and useful design, with a very elegant form. There are high quality gilt metal ormolu mounts, and the upper doors have beautifully painted plaques. The drawer opens out to reveal a tooled leather writing surface, this can also be slid back to reveal extra storage space.

We have had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age. The top section lifts off the base and this comes in two pieces for ease of transport.
