A mid 19th century bronze muzzle loading signalling cannon, dated 1856, marked to commemorate the end of the Crimean war.

Cast iron carriage marked: “PEACE 1856” and "TRUST IN PROVIDENCE - KEEP YOUR POWDER DRY".

Length of barrel: 23 ¼ inches (59 cm).

Bore: 1 7/8th inches. (48 mm). Diameter of muzzle: 4 inches. (10 cm).
