Description

A black lacquered free standing Regency window seat. The seat has beautiful scrolled arms, terminating with gilded patera. They are decorated with gold flowers on a silver leaf ground. The central chinoiserie panels both have decorative freezes, dipicting flowers, birds, a house and two fisher men. The outswept legs are also decorated with trailing flowers. The cane seat is in good condition and the seat has now been re-upholstered in antique linen, with two bolsters and a buttoned squab cushion. Circa 1820.
