Louis Xv Style French Bookcase with Wire Grill Front, Circa 1900

Description

A lovely kingwood bookcase in the Louis XV style, this has a open wire grill front which allows the books to breathe. Of the five shelves, four are fully adjustable on saw tooth supports, whilst the top is fixed. Externally, the piece has a beautiful feathered veneer pattern, with ormolu style escutcheons and foot decorations. The key is available for the vertical locking mechanism. This is an attractive piece for any room and will look wonderful in a study, living room or office.

Dating to circa 1900, this is made of kingwood and originates from France.

In good age related condition.
