Description

Superb Quality English 1930’s Large Oak Bookcase

This is a high quality, solid oak large bookcase that splits into two sections. Stamped by the maker and with a crown and GR VI and dated 1938, probably made for a Government Ministry office. The top section has two original clear glazed doors with six adjustable oak shelves inside (only four are pictured). The lower section has two solid oak panelled doors with one storage shelf. In excellent condition, so clean and with two original working keys, one for the top and another for the bottom.

This piece really is made using the best, thick quality quarter sawn oak timbers that expose the beautiful medullary rays within the oak timbers.
