Large Silver Gilt Vivid Blue Enamel Butterfly Brooch by Ivar Holth

1940 - 1960
Description

A gorgeous good sized silver gilt butterfly brooch decorated with beautiful deep blue enamelled wings. The brooch is generously proportioned and details such as the spots around the wing edges and the white enamelling to the body make it a particularly fine example of a guilloche enamel butterfly brooch. The brooch is marked on the back 925S Sterling Norway, with the makers mark for Norwegian jewellery designer Ivar Holth. 

 

Condition:  In great pre-owned condition, with no damage to the enamel and a good fastening pin on the back which works perfectly.   

Weight 10.5 grams. Weights and measurements are approximate.
