This Spectacular mid 19th century Victorian Antique Library Bookcase on Cupboard has been constructed from the finest quality Mahogany timbers and is clearly the work of a true Victorian craftsman, circa 1850. It has a rounded moulded cornice above three glazed doors with arched moulded edges.
The lower section has a beautifully figured top with moulded edge above four cupboard doors with beautiful carvings. The interior consists of several fitted drawers, two sliding linen trays and a central shelf. The corners are rounded and the piece as a whole stands on a moulded plinth. This Fine Victorian bookcase splits into several sections for easy removal and the Mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of furniture wax finishing.
