This small rectangular hand-knotted wool rug dates from 1920 in the Persian Lilihan style. The pile displays a coral-red central field decorated with light blue, brown, green and tan floral motifs, curvilinear palmettes and Herati patterns, surrounded by a multi-layered dark blue and pink patterned border.
