Regency furniture draws heavily from classical Greek, Roman, and Egyptian motifs, featuring symmetrical proportions, architectural columns, and prominent use of gilt metal mounts.

These cabinets typically utilised dense exotic timbers such as rosewood and mahogany, often accented with marble tops, brass grilles, and gilded bronze or ormolu mounts.

Authentic pieces exhibit period-correct joinery, natural timber grain oxidation beneath the polish, hand-cut screws or early fixings, and high-quality fire-gilded brass or bronze hardware.

It functions effectively as a focal point in a living room or hallway, paired with minimalist modern art or neutral decor to highlight the rich timber grain and classical ornamentation.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and nourish the timber periodically with appropriate beeswax. Protect the marble surface from acidic substances and moisture to prevent staining.
