The striking design of this beautiful flatweave kilim has a purpose; The middle part lies over the top of the camel and the two panels hang down either side to decorate the animals flanks.. It makes a wonderful rug however, full of ancient symbolism and beautiful old colours. It is in very good condition for the age, including some small, varied old repairs throughout.
