Description

This is a good antique Karshan silk prayer carpet dating from around 1920. The handwoven carpet has a beautiful design, a central vase with flowers in Mihrab shaped flower filled field. The colours palette is well chosen with rich coral red, cinnamon, soft blue and gold all featuring on a warm ivory ground. The carpet is all silk and is in excellent condition throughout.

The rug measures 200 cms by 122 cms including the fringes.

UK insured delivery is £20

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
