This is a superb antique William IV Scottish sterling silver quaich measuring 4" (10 cms) across including the handles x 1 1/4" (3 cms) high to the rim.

It weighs 72.5 grams / 2.3 troy oz and is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1831 with the silversmiths mark for Elder & Co.

It has fox head handles and is decorated with grouse around the bowl.

This lovely quaich will come in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity.
