Cased Victorian Silver Mug Hallmarked London 1859 a B Savory & Sons

Description

Superb Victorian silver mug, highly decorative with swags of foliage, roses, thistles and shamrocks. There is a blank cartouche to the front, gilt interior, swagged foot and an elaborate handle: all very typical of mid-Victorian style. Hallmarks are for London 1859 with the maker A B Savory & Sons. The mug also comes with a splendid original fitted burgundy leather case, lined in silk and velvet, also bearing the makers retail logo.

In lovely antique condition, it would make a wonderful celebratory gift.
