Rare Large English Edwardian Sterling Silver & Ceramic Menu Holder 1911 Antique

Description

A rare good sized English Edwardian antique solid sterling silver menu holder. It is hallmarked for Chester 1911 with the maker’s marks being that of Stokes & Ireland Ltd. It has been superbly designed with a sterling silver frame that supports a porcelain menu plaque, a place setting name and/or menu can be written on the ceramic then rubbed off afterwards. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 4 inches (10cm) tall by 3 inches (7.5cm) and weighs 56 grams including the plaque and 26 excluding it. A beautiful and very rare piece.
