Horn, Oak & Silver Plate Table Gong

1900 - 1920
Description

This fabulous antique table top gong which dates from c1900 has 2 grey cattle horns mounted on an English oak base, decorative silver plated metal mounts and a blank central shield cartouche which could be engraved if you so wished.

The silver plated gong which is unusual being in the form of a cloche shaped bell is suspended between the two horns by silver plated fittings and makes a nice dong when struck with the wooden striker.

Dimensions: Length: 32.5 cm (12 3/4"). Width: 14.5 cm (5 3/4"). Height: 33.5 cm (13 1/4").

Condition: Excellent antique condition with light signs of wear in keeping with age. Some light surface scratches and general wear. Blank cartouche.

Please note that only the gong with striker is included and any other items in the pictures are for scale only.
