Here we have a very fine quality Georgian silver vinaigrette with engine turned decoration and raised pie crust edging, it has a blank cartouche to the centre of the lid, upon opening the hinged lid it is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1826 and Thomas Shaw, there is a beautifully decorated silver gilt grille and on lifting it there is still the original sponge present, it weighs 12.0g.
