Rare German Hanau French Solid Silver Snuff Snuff Box C1900 Antique

1900 - 1920
Description

A rare solid silver snuff box. It is hallmarked with the German Hanau makers mark of J Kurz & Co and French import touch marks, it tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1900. It has been superbly made being of oval form and with a musical instruments. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and gilded and the lid closes tightly. It measures approx. 2.5 inches (6cm) across by over 1.5 inches (4.2cm) wide by 0.75 inch (1.98cm) tall and weighs 36 grams. A very pretty piece.
