Antique Sampson Mordan Sterling Silver Chick Pin Cushion 1909 Needlework Sewing

Description

A pretty Edwardian English antique solid sterling pin cushion. It is hallmarked for Chester with the date mark being rubbed but looks like the letter I for 1909 with the makers marks being that of Sampson Mordan & Co Ltd. It has superbly designed in the form of a chick. It is in superb condition being free from splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 1.25 inches (3.2cm) long by 0.75 inch (1.9cm) wide by 1 inch (2.6cm) tall and weighs 8 grams. A very pretty piece.

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
