Rare English Sterling Silver Bradford City Vesta Case Holder 1909 Antique

1900 - 1920
Description

A rare English antique solid sterling silver left handed vesta case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1909 with the makers mark being that of Deakin & Francis. It has been superbly designed with the front depicting the crest of Bradford City, the back has been engraved 'E.G. FROM THE LORD MAYOR BRADFORD JULY 1909'. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 2 inches (5.2cm) long by 1.75 inches (4.5cm) wide and weighs 34 grams. A very interesting example.

Declaration

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
