Rare C1760 Antique Sterling Silver Dragon Crested Patch Box Coxwell Family

Description

A rare early English antique solid sterling silver patch box. It is hallmarked with the lion passant mark and a makers mark. I would date it to c1760. It has a superbly made and the lid has been engraved with a dragon crest used by the Coxwell Family. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, slight marks to the base but nothing for a piece of this age. It measures approx. 1 inch (2.8cm) across by 0.75 inch (2cm) tall and weighs 12 grams. A very rare piece.
