Rare English Antique Sterling Silver Sewing Tape Measure 1903 Needlework

1900 - 1920
Description

A superb very rare English antique solid sterling silver Chesterman tape measure. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1903 with the makers mark being that of William Coymns. It has been stylishly designed and is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It has a ratchet system which clicks and locks as you pull it out, you then lightly push the side button towards the centre pin and it automatically goes back in - it works perfectly. It measures approx. 1.25 inches (3.5cm) across and weighs 30 grams. A superbly designed rare example.

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
