Raised on Gillows type legs in well figured walnut. On water-gilt, "Cope & Collision Patent" stamped castors. Dating from the mid C19th.

Cope & Collinson are reknown for producing the finest brass hardware, and regularly used on Gillows furniture. This stool is of the highest quality and I'm comfortable saying it is very much in the manner of Gillows.

The seat has recently been reupholstered in the traditional method, using hand-dyed leather hide.
A stunning stool in excellent condition and ready for use.
