Fine Victorian Silver Plate Centrepiece

A fine and decorative silver plate centrepiece modelled as Arum Lilies. The piece is beautifully modelled throughout with a naturalistic base of stones and foliage and a central cartouche with monogram. The lilies are all individually constructed with foliage rising to three flowers with gilded stamens. The whole is the most stunning naturalistic centrepiece with all the silver plate in good condition, sadly there has been the loss of one leaf although this is hardly noticeable because of the profusion of leaves. The centrepiece is unmarked which is unusual for a piece of this size and quality though it would certainly have been by one of the premier makers of the period. C.1860.
