Technical Description

An adjoined pair of ornate silver plated wine bottle coasters or decanter stands, dating to the Victorian Era in excellent condition. The loops on either side and for holding the stoppers when out of the decanters. Unusual to find an adjoining set.

England, c1870

Age related wear, felt on base needs replaced, no major dings, cracks or restoration, clean condition

Length: 35cm, Height: 5cm Diameter: 14.5cm.

Historical Relevance

Hand-blown around the time of the Franco-Prussian War, also known as the war of 1870 in France.
