A George III Mahogany Stool, Probably Scottish, C.1760

The padded horsehair seat, (lacking top cover), with oak rails, raised on moulded legs with a pronounced internal chamfer.

The stool is structurally rock solid, the legs have some scratches and age associated wear.

Two of the legs have had a couple of millimetres taken off the corners. Unitil recently they had later steel discs on the bottom, and I''m guessing a slightly rough surface was removed before applying them. This is not noticeable unless the chair is upsidedown (and even then barely), and the overall height is unaffected.

Reliable transport can be easily arrange throughout the UK at cost price. Please let me know if you would like a quote, or have any other questions.
