Sterling Silver Chatelaine Bobbin Cotton String Holder 1909 Sewing Needlework

Description

A very rare Edwardian antique solid sterling silver chatelaine cotton bobbin or string holder. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1909 with the makers marks being that of William Manton. It has been superbly designed and is is in ok condition being free from splits holes and repairs, they are a few dings to the screw ends and faint marks to the cross bar. It measures approx. 2.25 inches (6cm) across by 2 inches (4.6cm) wide excluding the pin and weighs 8 grams. A very interesting rare piece.
