Art Nouveau Silver Photo Frame Birmingham 1904

A superb solid silver Photograph Frame.  The Frame is iconic Art Nouveau, decorated with the most wonderful curved lines of plants and flowers, in a lovely organic style - encapsulating the Art Nouveau era!  The clear hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office, along with the date mark for 1904 are clearly visible on the bottom corner of the Frame, along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and the maker's mark for the renowned silversmith: A&J Zimmerman. The back of the frame is covered in a bottle green velvet material.

 

The quality of the silversmith is evident!

 

Condition: The silver is in great condition.  The green velvet on the back of the frame is worn in places, however this does not detract from the beauty and quality of the silver.
