19th century Turkish Yataghan, the blade silver damascened with foliate panels,

The panels gold-inlaid with probable date and Thuluth / Islamic calligraphy inscriptions,

Shaped nickel mount over the forte, large eared dark horn grips with floral medial brass strap

In its wooden, tooled leather covered scabbard, with brass wire seam and brass chape.

Condition as shown, bolster repaired, pewter rim of scabbard split, chape repaired and probably later

Overall in good bright sound condition

Length of sword 30.5" or 83.5cm

Gross weight 1112 grams
