Description

A small, nicely proportioned Victorian solid silver Cream Jug. A shape is both functional and attractive and the body of the jug is beautifully engraved. It has a nice plain polished silver handle and underneath are the clear hallmarks for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1879 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver, along with the maker's mark (not quite distinguishable - looks like CF).

Condition: The body of the jug is in very good condition. It is slightly uneven around the rim of the base which we mention for complete accuracy.
