Here we have a wonderful Victorian Oak joint stool in the Elizabethan manner c1880. As you can see the stool has fantastic colour and patina. The stool is of pegged mortice and tenon construction throughout. The top has four pegs into the legs which as you will know are slightly raised from the surface as they are end grain and the top is not. There is a stunning frieze of gadrooned carving and decorative split moulding. The legs are beautifully carved with turnings and cup and covers. The legs are joined by stretchers all round with a decorative moulding to the outside. A super Victorian example in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 48 cm high 46 cm wide 28 cm deep.
