Technical Description

A large 19th-century Scottish silver and gemstone brooch in the form of an ornate celtic shield. An outer ring of Scottish Agate gemstones with a further central cross of agates all set in beautiful ornate Silver.

One of the best examples we have had.

Date & Origin

Scotland, c1880.

Condition

Excellent, age-related wear as shown. Pin to rear in working order. No chips or cracks. Silver unmarked which is quite normal for Scottish Jewellery of this type.
