Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco engagement rings from the 1920s are defined by geometric precision, linear forms, and intricate metalwork. They frequently feature central old European cut or old mine cut diamonds, surrounded by delicate millegrain edging and platinum settings.

During the 1920s, platinum became the metal of choice for fine jewellery due to its strength and ability to support intricate lace-like settings without adding bulk. Diamonds and accent gemstones were typically set in platinum or white gold to complement the white metallic tone.

Authentic period rings often feature hand-cut diamonds with high crowns and small tables, die-struck platinum mounts, precision millegrain borders, and vintage hallmarks. Craftsmanship from this era shows microscopic variations consistent with hand finishing rather than modern casting.

An antique diamond ring serves as a timeless focal point that pairs effortlessly with contemporary minimal jewellery or modern wedding bands. Its classic metallic profile allows it to complement both everyday wardrobe choices and formal wear.

Clean the ring gently using warm water, mild liquid detergent, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust and oils. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals or abrasive surfaces, and schedule periodic inspections with a jeweller to ensure claws remain secure.
