An extremely rare English antique sterling silver Surveyors or Architects tape measure. It is hallmarked for London 1928 with the makers marks being William Comyns. It has been beautifully made having a button mechanism that releases a winding handle. It contains a 50ft steel tape. We've never seen one before so maybe it was commissioned. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, a light scratch. The tape is complete and the whole thing works perfectly. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.2cm) wide and weighs weighs 200 grams, including the steel tape. A superbly made possibly unique piece.
