A beautiful rare Scottish solid sterling silver quaich cup. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1928 with the makers marks being B&S. It has been superbly made and engraved with an inscription relating to the Open Tournament at Nairn, I assume this to be a golfing competition? For those unaware these are filled with alcohol and passed around at celebrations, weddings and other such gatherings. It is in superb condition, having no dings splits or repairs. It measures approx. 5 inches (13cms) across including the handles and 3.25 inches (8.4cms) excluding them by almost 1.75 inches (4cm) tall and weighs 90 grams. A beautifully clean very interesting example.
