This is a truly stunning necklace.
It is 65cm overall length and the silver clasp is clearly marked.
The clasp has a small cultured Pearl
Mounted measuring 3grains.
The aventurine beads have been threaded and individually knotted on silk thread.
Aventurine is often mistaken for Jade, as it comes in various shades of Green, however this necklace actually appears slightly more turquoise. The photographs Don’t really do it justice as it definitely looks more “Tiffany”shade of green/turquoise.
Incidentally… Faberge, used Aventurine as a preferred quartz for the manufacture of some of his eggs!!
