This is a superb antique Victorian Scottish sterling silver Christening mug/tankard measuring 3 1/2? (9 cms) tall x 3 1/2? (9 cms) across including the handle.

It’s hallmarked for Glasgow 1889 with the silversmiths mark for James Reid & Co and has the retailers mark for 'Rait, Glasgow' underneath.

It weighs 137.3 grams/4.4 troy oz and is decorated with seven panels showing various animals.

It’s in excellent condition and will come in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity.
