A five-branch wall sconce of the very highest quality. The exquisitely chased metalwork has a surface with a beautifully worn gilt finish. It is complete, with no cracks, repairs, or damage of any sort. The half-pilaster fluted backing is comprised of a flaming torch with a cresting below flanked by birds. This is by far the finest example we’ve seen in over thirty years, and it dates from c.1850 - c.1875.
