In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1930s.
It has an on/off switch in the base.
The lamp has been re-wired and PAT Tested and is in good working order. It takes a standard bayonet bulb (not included with the lamp).
It is in good condition for its age. There are signs of age and use and some minor dinks and surface marks here and there but nothing detrimental. The finish has worn and tarnished over time and there are some areas of copper showing through but overall it has a nice patina. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
