15 1/2" Antique George V Sterling Silver Tray/salver - 1934

Description

An antique George V sterling silver tray/salver which has a circular body measuring 15 1/2" in diameter. This superior quality silver tray has a plain body, a wonderful gadroon border and rests on four ball and claw feet. It would be perfect for displaying a tea set or decanter and glasses. Rarely does one find a tray/salver of this calibre and craftsmanship.

Height: 4.6 cms (1.8")

Overall diameter: 39.7 cms (15.6")

Inner diameter: 33 cms (13")

Weight: 72.2 troy ounces (2,260 grams)

It was hallmarked in Sheffield for 1934 by William Hutton and remains in excellent condition.
