Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Mustard Pot - 1897

Description

An antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot which is circular in shape with an attractive pierced body, a plain hinged lid with a fluted thumb piece, a stylish side handle with an animal motif and resting on a flat base. The blue glass liner fits neatly within the body and remains in excellent condition. The spoon is dated for London 1897 by Matthew John Jessop and matches perfectly well with the pot.

Height (to top of thumb piece): 6 cms (2.4")

Diameter of base: 5.8 cms (2.3")

Weight (without the liner): 2.5 troy ounces (78 grams)

It was hallmarked in London for 1897 by William Hutton and remains in excellent condition.
