Antique C1880 Silver Plated and Cut Glass Biscuit Box

Description

This is a charming antique silver plated and cut glass biscuit box. Rectangular in shape. Standing on four bun feet. The stand is decorated to the base with ovals. Swing handle attached with an ebonised wooden rod. The glass is cut with a criss cross decoration in the middle of squares. There are four panels to the front, back and sides. They are etched with a bird in flight, a stork, and two perched birds. c.1880 British made with a makers mark stamped underneath. This has been replated.

Length: 20 cm (8")

Width: 15 cm (6")

Height excluding handle and finial is approximately: 12 cm (4.75")
