Rare Norwegian 830 Solid Silver Gravy Sauce Boat Jug C1890 Dragestil Antique

Description

A beautiful Norwegian solid silver sauce jug or gravy boat or cream jug? It is hallmarked with the Norwegian 830S silver standard mark along with a makers mark of Marius Hammer. I would date it to c1890. It has been beautifully made having an cast handle in the form of a Dragon like beast with four claw and winged feet. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 4.25 inches (11.3cm) long by 2.25 inches (5.8cm) wide and weighs 68 grams. A beautifully made rare example.
