Good Small Old Sheffield Plated Mazarine / Draining Plate

Description

A good small sized mazarine or draining plate. Made of Old Sheffield Plate and marked to the reverse for maker Walker, Knowles & Co of Sheffield, dating to c1840. With a beautifully pierced design and of a fine heavy quality.

The condition is good overall with no splits. One slight bump to the outer rim and very faint copper bleed to the raised edges of the reverse. Very small signs of age related wear.

Weight approx 686g.

Measures approx 36.5cm x 25cm.
