Beautiful Silver & Enamel Brooch by Olaf Fritjof Hjortdahl C. 1930'S

1920 - 1940
Description

A very fine and very beautiful silver and enamel brooch by Norwegian designer Olaf Fritjof Hjortdahl, who established his jewellery business in 1914 and worked until 1954, when he handed the business to his son.  This lovely brooch is so beautifully decorated with white on black and features pretty gold pattern detail on the white enamel background, giving a sunburst effect.   It has a good fastening pin on the back.  The brooch is marked 925S and bears the mark for Olaf Fritjof Hjortdahl.

 

Condition:  In super condition.

 

Period:  Circa 1930's

 

Measurements:  Height: 2 cm   Width:  4.7 cm    Weight:  10.5 grams
